Biography of the Reverend  Emily Holman, Deacon

I was ordained to the diaconate on October 21, 2000.

I am concerned with Social Justice issues, especially housing. I have coordinated Christ Church participation in the Interfaith Hospitality Network, which provides overnight housing for homeless families, and Hands for All, which provides home repairs for low-income families. I have led Christ Church Lego House fundraising projects for the Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity; Christ Church is now a partner in this organization, supporting it with fundraising, project support, and prayer.

I care about our parishioners and people. I am a part-time volunteer chaplain at Community Medical Center. I assist with pastoral care for Christ Church members, and manage our prayer chain.

I love serving as deacon.

I have worked as a librarian for 37 years, in Ocean County, Maryland, North Carolina, and Minnesota. In my spare time I enjoy travel, walking, swimming, reading, visiting with family and friends.
